How Difference Passes into Order
An observation on the transition into order
Orders do not exist merely because they contain elements.
They exist because processes, signs, decisions, and effects can be connected with one another.
Connectability names the condition under which something passes into an order without immediately appearing as a foreign element.
Transition Rather Than Belonging
Connectability is not a property of an individual element.
It arises in the relation between what appears and the structure it is to enter.
A process can exist in fact and still remain without connection.
A truth can be documented and yet produce no effect.
An objection can be expressed and still trigger no response.
The decisive point is not merely that something exists.
What matters is whether it can be taken up, continued, and connected effectively.
Order through Connection
What becomes connectable changes its status.
It no longer stands only outside or at the edge of an order. It can continue to have an effect within its procedures, concepts, and expectations.
Stability emerges from this.
Not because everything remains the same, but because difference is given a form that can be processed further.
Connectability is therefore a condition for the continuation of order.
It determines what can be continued and what breaks off.
Limit of Admission
Not everything that appears becomes connectable.
Some things remain as Irritation.
Some are integrated without becoming effective.
Others are shifted, distributed, or continued through Continuing Past.
Connectability is therefore also a boundary.
It determines which difference passes into order and which remains outside its efficacy.
This boundary does not have to be stated.
It becomes visible in what is continued.
Efficacy through Connection
Something does not become effective merely because it is correct, visible, or present.
It becomes effective when it finds connection.
Criticism needs a connection to response.
Responsibility needs a connection to answer.
Time needs a connection to change.
Feedback needs a connection to conditions.
Without connection, effect remains possible but undecided.
Open Question
Connectability describes the transition at which something enters order and can continue to have an effect within it.
The question that follows concerns the limit of admission:
When does something become connectable—and when does it remain present without passing into effect?
