How Accumulation Gains Structural Efficacy
An observation on the efficacy of accumulation
Orders initially respond to difference case by case. Individual deviations are taken up, transferred, or lose their effect. But difference rarely remains isolated. It appears repeatedly, in different places and in different forms.
Densification names the moment when such individual movements can no longer be processed independently of one another.
Accumulation Without Addition
Densification does not arise from number alone.
Many events of the same kind do not necessarily produce change. What matters is whether their effects overlap.
Different Irritations can point to the same structure.
Separate processes begin to reinforce one another.
What previously appeared isolated forms a connection.
An efficacy thus emerges that cannot be traced back to a single event.
Threshold of Perceptibility
Densification changes what is considered relevant.
Individual deviations often remain inconspicuous. In their accumulation, they shift perception itself.
Connections emerge that were previously not recognizable.
Interpretations become stable because they can connect in several ways.
What returns gains weight.
Densification makes visible what previously appeared only in isolation.
Change Without Decision
Densification does not lead directly to rupture.
It creates pressure without already determining a direction.
Different forms of processing remain possible:
- incorporation into existing structures
- stabilization through Immunization
- continuation through Continuing Past
- reorganization of assigned responsibilities
- feedback on conditions
Densification does not determine what happens.
It changes the situation so that something must happen.
Structure under Tension
As Densification increases, existing orders come under tension.
They remain functional, but cease to appear self-evident.
Connection requires more effort.
Deviation becomes more likely.
Stability becomes an active achievement.
Densification marks the state in which order can no longer simply be continued without changing.
Open Question
Densification describes the efficacy of accumulation without determining its outcome.
The question that follows concerns the transition:
When does Densification remain processable—
and when does it begin to shift the structure itself?
